*Princeton Middle School will be hosting it's 2nd annual Spring Fling on March 28th from 1pm-5pm. This event offers something for all ages, including vendors, food, talent show, indoor yard sale, silent auction, Easter egg hunt, and a special visit from the Easter Bunny himself. *The Princeton Community Hospital Auxiliary is sponsoring the 2nd Annual Macey Whittaker SIDS Awareness 5K Walk/Run on Saturday, March 28th. The event is to raise awareness of SIDS within the community as well as raise money to purchase sleep sacks, which are believed to help prevent SIDS, that will be given to parents to take home when their baby is born at PCH. *Artist Sandra Bowden, one of the most inspiring Christian artists in America, will display her works at Bluefield College through April 11th. Visual artist Sandra Bowden has been interpreting Scripture through mixed media for more than 40 years, and for the next three months she will present some of her interpretations at Bluefield College in an art exhibit titled “With Word and Song," in BC’s Art Gallery on the first floor of Lansdell Hall, 8am-6pm weekdays. *On June 20th, West Virginia celebrates the anniversary of the creation of West Virginia as the 35th state. Jump Start, a volunteer group bringing new life to downtown Princeton, is sponsoring the celebration of West Virginia Day in the Dick Copeland Town Square from 2pm-8pm. Music will be provided by Valley Bluegrass and Barry Bowman. Re-enactors, Phoebe Belcher Clay, the first settler of West Virginia, Arthur Boreman, the first governor of West Virginia and a coal miner giving the history of the life of a West Virginia coal miner will be speaking. The WVU Mountaineer Mascot will be in attendance. Food will be available by Nona’s Italian Kitchen and the Mercer County Historical Society with free cupcakes at Almost Heaven Bakery.
