Come to the Town of Honaker, VA for the Haunting in Honaker!  Mark your calendars for Saturday, October 25th to join us for a variety of unique experiences, including the one that started it all – the Haunted History Walk.  Take a stroll through historic downtown Honaker on this guided walking tour, as we tell you about the town, its tragedies, mysteries and local lore.  Hop on our haunted hayride and make your way through the historic railroad tunnel, which boasts its own folk stories and legends.  Plus, new this year, check out our twist on the ‘haunted house experience.’  There’s lots more to come and it all happens Saturday, October 25th.  Be sure to follow our Facebook event page HERE to receive detail updates as soon as they’re released.

Check out the below photo, taken a couple of years ago, of one of the stops on the walking tour.  The former Hotel Honaker was built at the turn of the century.  The owner’s wife died there a short time after it was completed – an interesting coincidence, considering it later operated as a funeral parlor.  But she didn’t die peacefully in her sleep.  Hear her story at the Haunting in Honaker!
